Bruce Andrus, MD, MS
Cardiologist, Cardiovascular Medicine
What is your fondest memory from your 25 years working at Dartmouth-Hitchcock?
I have many fond memories of camaraderie and good teamwork both at D-H Keene and at DHMC. Perhaps it's the time of year (currently June), but I might single out seeing the pride and sense of accomplishment our residents and fellows experience at the graduation dinners marking the end of their professional training.
What about your job/work inspires you?
I'm inspired by the outstanding efforts of others around me, an appreciation that my work impacts the lives of others, and that even after 25 years, I have not seen it all; there is always more to learn.
What do you like best about your department?
I like the folks who surround me at work (both colleagues and patients), the continually evolving technology and compassion we can deliver to those with life-threatening cardiovascular disease, and the pervasive spirit of inquiry of an academic medical center.
