Medical Assistant, CHaD
"We get to follow families throughout their first 20 years, so I’m confident I know their ‘normal.’ I can look into a patient’s eyes and know when they are not feeling well. I love watching the patients grow into wonderful, young adults, and young couples become amazing parents. And when I give a flu vaccine and a child says, ‘that didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would,’ I know I’ve made a difference.
I am very big on making sure my coworkers have fun and smile at work. We handle a lot of sad and hard situations, and we need to make sure we take care of ourselves and each other."
