What is your fondest memory from your 25 years working at Dartmouth-Hitchcock?
I just want to thank the members of my Dartmouth-Hitchcock (D-H) family for all their support. They are the ones who encouraged me to go back to school, shared their vast knowledge with me, celebrated my successes and supported me during personal tragedies.
I have been included in celebrations that members of my D-H family have had in their own lives. I have grieved with them during their own losses, and they have been my travel buddies for conferences and vacations. I am honored to be included in this vast group of caring individuals.
What about your job inspires you?
The people I work with are the most inspiring part of my job. During the most challenging of shifts, there is teamwork, camaraderie and even humor.
I have watched new nurses grow into experts and appreciate their energy. I have observed expert nurses encourage and mentor their co-workers, and I worked with the most amazing Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs), who are the front line in patient care.
What do you like best about your department?
I have worked in neurosciences for the last 18 years, and I am amazed at how it has developed. I am excited to see what the future holds.
