Kristen M. Frechette, RN
Nurse Manager
Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
What is your fondest memory in your 25 years working at Dartmouth-Hitchcock?
My mom was a nurse at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (for almost 40 years) and like most of us who grew up with mothers who were nurses in the 1970s, the idea of becoming a nurse as a young kid was unappealing—strict uniforms, ugly caps and horrible hours. How crazy and wonderful that I ended up as a nurse here too!
What about your job inspires you?
I am constantly inspired by my co-workers. We have great respect for each other and work seamlessly as a team. Our patients make our jobs fun!
What do you like best about your department?
As a nurse, I get to see patients gain back confidence and strength after their diagnosis. It's humbling to be a part of that process.
