Physical Therapist, Inpatient
What is your fondest memory from your 25 years working at Dartmouth-Hitchcock?
I work for a great department (staff retention) that feels like a family. I love seeing staff get married and have children, and watch their family members grow and accomplish milestones in their lives. The staff members hired in the past two years have great energy as well, and it is nice to take part in their lives too. I’ve been pleased through the years that DHMC [Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center] supports Live Well/Work Well, and has trails for exercise and events like annual health clinics, health coaches, and exercise classes and yoga.
What about your job/work inspires you?
Helping patients recover until they are able to return home. I love when patients return to say hello and to show their physical progress; it really shows their appreciation for my help while they were in the hospital.
What do you like best about working in your department?
Longevity of staff. My department is like a second family to me.
