Lise A. Davini, MSPT
What is your fondest memory in your 25 years working at Dartmouth-Hitchcock?
My fondest memory would probably be starting the Incontinence and Pelvic Pain Program 20 or so years ago here at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC). I enjoyed working with the surgeons, urologists, obstetricians, midwives and gynecologists to initiate physical therapy for these patients.
What about your job inspires you?
Overall, my inspiration comes from working with patients and families who have experienced significant loss of function following illness, trauma or surgery. There is great satisfaction in being able to help patients regain some level of function and increase their strength or mobility. I thoroughly enjoy working with the multidisciplinary teams who work together to help these patients heal.
What do you like best about your department?
I find value working in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Department because we have an incredible group of professionals who make a significant impact on the patients admitted to DHMC. This group of therapists work hard to maximize functional recovery, assist with discharge planning and follow-up care, improving quality of life. Our team works with multidisciplinary teams throughout the facility to provide an invaluable service.
