Lynn M. Feenan, MS, RN
Clinical Nurse Specialist
What is your fondest memory from your 25 years working at Dartmouth-Hitchcock?
My fondest memory is of our NH Cystic Fibrosis Center Team Retreats. The Retreat is an annual two-day meeting of the entire Cystic Fibrosis Team—Lebanon and Manchester teams, pediatric and adult colleagues, and most importantly patients and family members. We spend two days together working on improvement of care. It's hard work, great team time and has undoubtedly led to improved care over the years.
What inspires you?
The children and families I care for inspire me. They face significant and life-changing illnesses with courage, tenacity, steadfastness and a healthy sense of humor. I learn something from them every day.
What do you like best about your department?
I love working with colleagues who care deeply for the children and families they work with and working in a department that not only provides excellent care but also advocates for patients and families—and empowering them to advocate for themselves.
How has COVID-19 affected your work?
Knowing my loved ones and our patients have been healthy throughout this pandemic, and that I still have a job I love is enough to be positive about. But I have also enjoyed figuring out new ways to provide care that works now and will continue to work when we emerge from this devastating period of time.
