Marci D.H. O'Keefe, COT
Certified Ophthalmic Technician
What is your fondest memory from your 25 years working at Dartmouth-Hitchcock?
My first position at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center was at the Community Health Center, and it was the perfect place to start. I made many friends who I am still in touch with 25 years later.
They used to have a wonderful summer picnic and family softball game. It was well-attended and great fun.
What about your job inspires you?
I have worked with some wonderful people over my 25 years, but the two providers I currently work with, Dr. Erin Salcone and Orthoptist Barbara Schneekloth, inspire me every day. Through their strength, passion, empathy and knowledge, they inspire me to be the best version of myself. I have learned so much from them and because of their leadership, I feel like a vital part of our team.
What do you like best about your department?
The patients. I love to meet and help people. Each day is an adventure.
The second best thing is the learning environment. Even after all these years, I still learn something new every day.
