Nate Blackler, LNA
CHaD Inpatient Unit & Emergency Department
I come from a long line of military personnel, so being able to follow in their footsteps was an honor. In the Infantry, I became part of a brotherhood that I maintain close contact with to this day. Serving and providing freedom for this country was an honor and privilege.
Serving in the Army has influenced my work in many ways at D-H, such as the skills to work under pressure and as a team no matter what comes our way, and working side by side with coworkers and patient populations from many different backgrounds. My time in the military, both stateside and overseas, taught me empathy and sympathy. My time as an Air Assault Infantryman helped pave the way to my goal of becoming a pediatric/neonatal flight nurse.
