Thea Crawford, PT
What is your fondest memory in your 25 years working at Dartmouth-Hitchcock?
Working with patients over time and seeing their progress, whether it be a baby who I started to work with when they were born three months early and at nine months is learning to sit up; or an older child who was badly injured in an accident and they get up for the first time since the accident. I still remember when a young woman, who was in a coma for a few months, first became alert and turned her head to taste a lollipop I brought for her.
What about your job inspires you?
The children I work with are so inspiring; their spirit and fortitude always amaze me. The great love their families have for them is also a driving force for my desire to support them to the best of my ability.
What do you like best about your department?
I work with an incredible group of hardworking, intelligent and most importantly, caring professionals. I love how we all take care of each other as well as caring for our patients.
