EAP at D-H Concord, Manchester, & Nashua

The Employee Assistance Program provides solutions to help you balance work and life through confidential and easily accessible services. The EAP puts convenient resources within your reach, and that helps you – and your household members – stay healthy. Services provided through the EAP are confidential; the EAP does not record in eD-H and no information is released without the consent of the client. See below for the EAP services provided by Live Well/Work Well and KGA, Inc.

Behavioral Health Support

Juliana Read, PhD (a licensed psychologist with the Live Well/Work Well Program) now offers behavioral health support services in the Community Group Practices. These services include:

  • Free and confidential counseling for all staff and their family members for a variety of difficulties (e.g. emotional well-being, substance abuse, work-related issues, and/or family relationships) for up to six visits per issue, per year
  • Consultations for administrators and supervisors around any topic that impacts the workplace
  • Debriefing with departments or sections when there have been critical incidents (such as the death of a co-worker), and/or during times of increased stress
  • Educational presentations on topics such as, coping with stress, effective communication, and work-life balance
  • Referrals when extended counseling and support is needed
  • Fitness for Duty Evaluations

Additional Resources Through KGA, Inc.

KGA, Inc. is Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Employee Assistance Program provider for the Community Group Practices. KGA provides employees (and their household family members) with confidential, 24/7 telephone access to professional counselors who will assess needs, provide counseling and support, and connect employees with the appropriate specialists and/or community resources. Six face-to-face sessions are offered in a private office near the employee’s home or workplace.

KGA also offers telephone consultation and online resources including:

  • Legal assistance – a 30-minute consultation with an attorney
  • Financial consultation – a 90-minute consultation with a financial advisor
  • Parenting, elder care, stress reduction and other topics of interest
