Employee Care Express
Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Employee Care Express offers walk-in care access for employees who have established their primary care at D-H. When D-H employees have a sudden illnesses, like cough/cold symptoms, a sinus infection, or a sore throat, they can be seen in a number of clinic areas (see list below) with quicker access to providers and at a lower cost than going to the Emergency Department.

How can I access the services of the Employee Care Express clinic?
You can access Employee Care Express services by phone or by visiting the clinic in person.
By phone: Call (603) 653-3850 to speak to a nurse about any issue you may have. The nurse on duty will help triage the best course of care, based on your description of your symptoms.
In person: You can visit the clinic during walk-in service hours without an appointment, or you can schedule an appointment through myD-H. When you visit the clinic, please bring your D-H ID badge. The walk-in service hours and locations are below:
Lebanon clinic locations
Employee Express Care is located with Occupational Medicine at 4L. Services will be provided by Live Well/Work Well Primary Care providers and Occupational Medicine providers. Employees can get walk-in care at the following locations and times:
- 4L walk-in clinic: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday
- General Internal Medicine walk-in clinic at 3M: 3:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and 8:00 am to noon on Saturdays
- Heater Road walk-in clinic: 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday
Community Group Practice clinic locations
Employees in the Community Group Practice locations can still take advantage of services that have been available to them through urgent care appointments at the Manchester, Nashua and Concord locations.
- D-H Manchester: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday
- D-H Concord: 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday
- D-H Nashua: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday
What kinds of illnesses will the Employee Care Express clinic take care of?
Employee Care Express can address acute care issues, such as:
- Sore throats
- Insect bites
- Back pain
- Bladder infection
- Cough/cold symptoms
- Pink eye
- Ear pain
- Minor wounds
The provider who sees you can help you determine if your illness is more complex or severe and needs further treatment by a specialist or your primary care provider.
Who will be staffing the Employee Care Express clinic?
For the Lebanon campus, the clinic at 4L is staffed by Live Well/Work Well Primary Care providers or by Occupational Medicine providers. The GIM and Heater Road clinics are staffed by the walk-in providers as they have been. The Community Group Practice locations are staffed by the current urgent appointment providers.
What do I do if I’m sick during a time that is not on the list of open hours for the walk-in services?
We encourage you to contact your primary care provider’s off-hour phone service. For D-H primary care, there is always a provider on-call. We will soon be able to offer e-visits, so that you can correspond by email or chat with a provider in the off-hours. We also are working with our Telehealth colleagues to set up Telehealth Urgent Care services in the near future.
What if I get sick or injured while I’m at work/on duty?
If this is a work-related illness or injury, you should contact Occupational Medicine to be seen by an Occupational Medicine provider. This type of service is free to employees.
What does it cost to be seen in the Employee Care Express clinic?
The cost for being seen in the Employee Care Express clinic is billed to your insurance at the walk-in visit rate, which then depends on what services are rendered. We are committed to providing the most low-cost, high-value care possible through this service. You also may use your Health Savings Account (HSA) fund to pay for this service. Please bring your HSA card with you when you visit the clinic.
What type of insurance is accepted?
Employees with any type of insurance can use the walk-in clinic services. The visit cost will depend on services rendered.
Can family members or other individuals who are not employees be seen in the Employee Care Express Clinic?
No, this service is for employees only.
